सादा वयन / PLAIN WEAVE
Inspired by the colours and the weaves used in the base fabric and the Toda embroidery of the Nilgiri Hills , fabric was woven on the handloom using 2/20s cotton yarn using 4 shafts .
The chosen colour of the base fabric is light cream / white.The colour of the woven strips is red.Both the base fabric and the red strips are hand woven using plain weave .A texture is given using natural dye made using coffe giving a burnt out effect.
